I was Supposed to release a single this month but, after remaking the song 3 times, I just realized that i have writer block(music block???).
anyway because of that i have spending more time experimenting with another plugins as well as playing my guitar outside of the studio to se if any good ideias stick on my head, but has already pass 10 days, and nothing has come up yet.
Other than this i have been with a ideia of EP ever since i release Side B, some in the style of Gemini Anxiety of Hanislip(i dint even know if the song exist anymore the guy keeps deleting his old music), but more close to the style of Pink, and besides some drawings that i made on my sketchbook, i still haven´t decide the theme of the EP and structure any of the songs.
Funny how things happen.
Last month i offered to help a friend of mine making a song for his Minecraft sever trailer, and one day after the last post here, he send-me the trailer to make the song.
...with the most insane deadline that i could get (aka tomorrow).
And not gonna lie, is funny how pressure can make you start doing things, to the moment that he send me the trailer to 4 hours ago of today, i have done the writing, recorded, mixed and master the hole song, and i still not believing, normally i take around 4 days to make a full song from zero, and i have made this one in pretty much a day. Sure there is nothing particularly especial in this track, but still... in a day?
Anyway i not gonna post the song on the workshop, but i gonna link the soundtrack trailer here and on a post on youtube once they posted everything.
Referencing the post made on the 13/07, I talk to my drum teacher today and he give the objetive to bring a least a demo on the next week so we can make the song that i have been remaking this hole month, Maybe i get the spark that i need to make the hole EP, he gave some basic points based on the song that i show him, so i gonna start breaking my head on this Friday to make this demo.(I may send the process to the random stuff playlist on youtube)
First of all, thank you everyone who liked the clip on Datamosh, that was a lot of work to do (and i probably not doing again for a long time).
Now with some updates:
Tomorrow i gonna be releasing another track for drone a more simple one to just continue the album. After that i gonna be gone for some months. I still want to release a final album to finish the year, and that is gonna take some work, polishing up ideias, picking up references, doing all the good shenanigans of recording and mixing, making the art of the songs, and instead of making like i have done on k7 and releasing 2 parts of the album on different periods, i kinda want to just release everything at once.
So yeah, if seen to be gone for a long time, i just busy making the album, my meta still to release on the end of the year, so i have to pick up the pace and start today, i may post something here in there on this page of the site, on the posts tab of youtube, the random stuff playlist or if i get another song commission/colab.
So i have written some stuff to post here but a lot more has happen since, so now i have to write a new post to update everything correctly.
As per my last video on the workshop 90% of the album is done, and after some consideration with the name i decided to called Basilisk, due to the main inspiration Basilisk 2000 and what he represents on the game, but with a little twist on my part.
So why is 90% and not 100%? Simple...
I got a block on the LAST song, to a point that i stack enough demos to make a bunch of bonus tracks, so i probably gonna finish most of them in the future and release as a ep for bonus.
Plus i still need to start making the visuals, it is the main motif of why this album is taking so long, the visuals are gonna be a important part
As birthday gift my family gave me a M-Vave FM-1 synth.
I was saving for him next year, because the problem of living in Brazil, is that any piece of electronic get a pretty chunky tax, to a point that you pay doble or triple the price of the instrument (a used Volca for instance is 80% of the minimal wage) so when the FM-1 was announced around here for half of the price of my keyboard, i was stoked to buy him once i got the money, but my family decided to give me him on my birthday due to being cheap enough to not cause any financials problems here, plus i decided to a least pay the tax on him to compensate for the gift.
I will be place him on the equipment tab as son as i learn the ins and outs of it (not the FM synthesis because i suck on it)
(and in 2027 i may ""get"" a new synth but on the hard way)
I have made a colab with a friend of mine Lowstation. And it was pretty fun, he just come to me one day saying "Ceifer there is this animation contest for Ironmouse, did you want to make the music? " and at moment of this post he has posted the animation on his channel that i will link on here.
On the topic of colabs there a 2 songs which i have released under on the workshop i was thinking of releasing them as Drone tracks butt after some consideration, i just gonna release them on a playlist called colabs probably after i recorded everything for Basilisk. (the song are already done anyway so is nothing that is gonna take more than 1 hour)
And keeping on the topics of colabs, there is a artist called VitorG that i really want to colab with him, i was introduced to him via my friend Samu, and i start to really like his songs that he make, one of his album is gonna be posted on the music recommendation after i write i small review in the future.
